Tell us about yourself:

I’m a person who believes that anything you can dream, can be become a reality if you work hard and pray hard. I’ve always had a love for telling stories. Whether my storytelling is in a form of a dance or a photo, If I am able to share a story I am happy.  However, I do have a special place in my heart for stories told via TV and Film.

What are your fondest memories of growing up in the Bronx?

Summers in The Bronx are the best.  I use to love riding with my older brother in his Honda Accord, with the sunroof down while blasting Biggie and Tupac.  I also loved those super hot days where we would open up the fire hydrant and play in the water for hours.

Do you feel as though being from the Bronx has heavily influenced who you are today?

Of course!  I have been blessed with opportunities to travel to so many places around the world, but there’s nothing like The Bronx.  It’s here that I fell in love with art.  I learned to dance and act from both street artists and professionally trained instructors.  The Bronx has definitely aided in my “go hard” work ethic.  There is a reason the Bronx has some of the biggest stars in the world like Kerry Washington, Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B.

*A Fun Fact: Stan Lee and James Baldwin went to my high school.*

Who are your biggest inspirations?

My grandmother and mother.  My grandmother taught me that a woman can be both graceful and strong at the same time.  My mother taught me it’s not how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get up.  They both taught me to trust my intuition.  There’s nothing like a woman’s gut feeling.

In terms of celebrities, I admire Oprah, Issae Rae, Reese Witherspoon and Gina Rodriguez.  Not only are these women amazing artist and public figures, but they are business women.  They each have their own production company.

What has been your greatest accomplishment to date?

Creating my own site.  It’s still a work in progress, but I’m happy that I’m finding my own voice.  For so long I've created content and planned events for other brands (not complaining --it’s an honor to have people trust me), but I'm ready to start building my brand and voice in addition to helping other people.  I aspire to continue to grow both in front and behind the camera.

If you could, in what ways would you give back to your community?

In the long run, I would love to own a yoga studio that can also be used as a dance studio.  I also want to create Digital and TV programs that inspire people to live a fulfilled and healthy life.

If someone were visiting the Bronx, where would you tell them to go?

City Island. Johnny’s Reef (all the way at the end). They have the best  Fried Shrimp and Pina Coladas (side note they are so good I actually like prefer them without the liquor).
