Tiffany Mellard, dancer, New York City

Born and raised in Bronx, New York, Tiffany began her dance training at the age of four at Mind Builders Creative Arts Center. She continued her studies at M.S. 180 in the Bronx, Norte Maar Conservatory of Dance, Harlem School of the Arts, and Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City. During this time, she performed works by Milton Myers, Adam Barruch, Sidra Bell, Pedro Ruiz, Krystal Hall-Glass, Kevin Iega Jeff, and Nai Ni Chen. Upon graduating from LaGuardia, she received the Dr. Randolph A. Goodman Award for Excellence in Dance.


Tiffany received her BFA in Dance with a certificate in Arts in Community Practice from Florida State University where she performed works by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Darshan Bhuller, and Gerri Houlihan. In April 2011, Tiffany was featured on the Florida State University website for her service through the arts in the Tallahasee community. In the summer of 2011, she attended the American Dance Festival on full scholarship as the assistant to Co-Dean Gerri Houlihan. At ADF, she performed works by Gerri Houlihan, Ming-Lung Yang, Leah Cox and Trebien Pollard.

Tiffany is currently in the "And Peggy" company of Hamilton: An American Musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda where she performed in San Juan, PR and is currently performing in San Francisco, CA.  She recently performed in Gateway Playhouse's production of Memphis and the National Tour of Chicago, The Musical. From 2013-2014, Tiffany performed with the International Tour of West Side Story. The 10-month tour went to Italy, France, Monaco, Germany, England, Israel, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, and Luxembourg.  While in New York City, Tiffany was a company member of Victory Dance Project and Nathan Trice/RITUALS Dance Theater.  She was a performer in "La Medea", directed and choreographed by Yara Travieso, and was a dancer in a choreographic session of the musical, Paradise Square, directed by Moises Kaufman and choreographed by Bill. T. Jones. She has appeared in ads by SONY and Under Armour.  She has also studied acting at T. Schreiber Studio & Theatre and worked as a teaching artist with LEAP for five years and most recently was on faculty at Mind Builders Creative Arts Center.  Tiffany is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  She is represented by CESD Talent Agency and STATE Management in New York.
